Double down on a winning avatar

One customer profile is quietly out-earning the rest. In about four minutes you’ll find them from your own numbers, then flood the zone with a fresh round of angles aimed straight at them.

Before you start

  • A handful of creatives built and launched through Omnymous, with a couple of weeks of spend behind them — that’s what gives the leaderboard something to rank (From product to live ad).

The shortcut: ask Omni“Given our best-performing customer avatar, what other marketing angles can we test?” It ranks your avatars, then hands you a Generate new marketing angles card that opens Studio with the winner already seeded — steps 1–3 in one click (see how). The walkthrough below is the manual route, and the best way to understand what that card is doing for you.

Steps

1. Find the winner on the leaderboard

Open Creatives under ANALYTICS and look at the Creative Leaderboard — every launched creative ranked by the revenue it actually drove, no naming conventions required.

The Creative Leaderboard: Creative 1 tops the ranking on the question · Science-backed results angle, its spend, orders, revenue and ROAS across the row

Read the sublines. Under each creative name sits its hook · angle — the two ingredients carrying it. For Vital Root, Creative 1 is the runaway leader: a question hook on the Science-backed results angle, turning $1.5K of spend into 99 orders and $13.9K at a 9.36x ROAS. Scan down and the pattern is the signal — the angle that keeps landing at the top is the one your market is voting for.

One honest caveat: give an angle real budget across a week or two before you crown it, and mind the Explains 62% of ad spend line in the header — it tells you how much of your budget these rankings can even account for (more on that in Creative analytics).

2. Trace the angle back to its avatar

A winning angle is really a winning audience. Open Variables ▸ Angles under LIBRARY and click Science-backed results to see what it’s built from.

The Science-backed results angle open in the Library on its Composition tab, showing Daily Greens Superblend as the product and The Considered Buyer as the avatar it targets

Switch to the Composition tab and it lays out its lineage: the product it sells — Daily Greens Superblend, marked Subject of — and the person it’s written for — The Considered Buyer, marked Target Avatar. That avatar is who your best angle is really talking to. (How these pieces stack — avatars, angles, and the copy built on them — is the whole of Variables.)

Now open that avatar itself and re-read what drives them — this is the brief for your next round.

The Considered Buyer avatar open in the Library, showing its Fears & Anxieties and Desires & Goals

The Considered Buyer is a research-driven professional who reads every review before buying. Their Fears & Anxietieswasting money on products that disappoint, falling for marketing hype — and their Desires & Goalsproducts that last for years, feeling smart about purchases — are exactly the nerves your winning angle hit. Fresh angles that strike those same nerves from new directions are what you want next.

3. Generate fresh angles for that avatar

Head to Studio, bring Marketing Angle to the centre of the picker, and press Start. The canvas opens with one card marked Required: the Customer Avatar.

Open Select Customer Avatar and pick The Considered Buyer. Everything that avatar was built from rides along automatically — the product Daily Greens Superblend and its research link in as read-only references — so every new angle stays about the same product, for the same person.

The Marketing Angle card is set to 3 by default; nudge its −/+ stepper for more or fewer. When you’re ready, press Generate.

4. Keep the sharpest, then extend

You land on the batch and watch three angles come to life. When it reads Completed, you’ve got three fresh reasons the same person would buy — each traced straight back to The Considered Buyer and Daily Greens Superblend.

The completed batch: three fresh marketing angles for The Considered Buyer, grouped under the Daily Greens Superblend product and research they build on

They’re saved in Variables ▸ Angles. Skim them and keep the sharpest.

Deleting the weaker angles is normal — generation is cheap, so you make more than you need and cut down to the best. You’re pruning your own fresh work, not anything the rest of your library is built on.

From a keeper, keep the chain going: generate a batch of Hooks from it in one more Studio run — same flow, pick Hook and attach the angle (see the Studio reference) — then images from those hooks. To carry a keeper all the way to a live ad in one sitting, follow From product to live ad.

What happens next

Launch the new creatives through the Launcher and their lineage travels with them — hook, angle, avatar and product, all tracked automatically. So in two weeks the Creative Leaderboard closes the loop: if one of your new angles climbs the board, you’ve compounded a winner; if none do, you spent a little to learn it. Either way, you run the play again on whatever’s on top.

Troubleshooting

The leaderboard is empty. These rankings only read creatives you built and launched through Omnymous — that’s what carries the lineage they take apart. Launch a batch through the Launcher and the board fills itself as spend comes in.

The new angles feel same-y. They’re only as rich as what they’re built on. Feed the avatar sharper raw material first — harvest real customer language with a review run (Turn reviews into research) — and the next round comes back with more specific, less generic reasons to buy.
