Ask Omni

Omni is your store’s analyst in a chat box. Ask a plain-language question and you get a written answer where every figure is computed by the analytics engine — Omni never invents numbers — backed by live cards and links straight to your real campaigns, creatives and pages.

Open Omni from the Chat section of the sidebar.

What you can ask

Omni is built for the questions you’d otherwise dig through Analytics to answer. A fresh chat opens on Ask Omni about your store with two kinds of prompts you can tap instead of typing:

  • Starter cards — suggested questions drawn from your store, like How is my store performing this month?, Which campaigns drove the most revenue in the last 30 days? and Which creatives are winning right now? Each card is tagged Starter, or From your data when it’s pulled from a specific insight, so your starters shift as your numbers do.
  • Suggestion chips — four evergreen starting points: Why did ROAS change last week?, Which creatives are winning right now?, Where is my ad spend leaking profit? and How healthy is my tracking?

You’re not limited to those — type anything into the composer (Ask about your attribution, store or creatives…) and press Enter. Good questions are about your store’s numbers: attribution, spend, ROAS and profit, creative and campaign performance, and tracking health.

How answers arrive

Answers stream in as Omni works, and land as a mix of written explanation and live cards:

  • Written text with citations. Names in the answer — a campaign, a creative, a page — become clickable links to that exact item. Omni can only link to things it actually pulled from your data, so a link is never a guess.
  • Live cards. Depending on the question you’ll get a KPI grid (Overview), a Trend chart, a Profit & Loss waterfall, an Entity Performance table, an Order Journey timeline, or a Tracking Health checklist — each computed from your store and stamped with where the numbers came from.

You can watch Omni think: while it works, a Thinking… line shows its reasoning, then collapses to Thought process you can re-open any time.

Worked example: which creatives are winning?

Ask Which creatives are winning right now? and Omni returns an Entity Performance table for the last 30 days.

Omni's answer: an Entity Performance table ranking creatives by spend, orders, revenue, ROAS, POAS and CPA

Read it top to bottom:

  1. Every row names a real creative and is a link — click one to open that creative in your Library.
  2. The columns are the numbers that decide a winner: Spend, Orders, Revenue, ROAS, POAS and CPA. Click any column header to re-sort.
  3. The Total row and the Last 30 days · creative label tell you exactly what’s in scope, and a footer records the attribution model and time zone behind the figures.

In this example Creative 1 is the clear leader — the most orders and revenue at the highest return — so it’s the one to scale.

A second look: is your tracking healthy?

Ask How healthy is my tracking? and you get a Tracking Health checklist instead of a table — the same governed-numbers idea in a different shape.

Each row is a green, amber or red check on one part of your data pipeline: Pixel signal (are sessions and events arriving), Order sync (how recently your store synced), a spend sync row per connected ad platform, and Attribution match (the share of conversions matched back to a click). A red or amber row is your cue to fix a connection — see Integrations and Stores.

Turn an answer into the next move

Omni doesn’t stop at telling you what’s working. When your question asks for direction — What should we test next?, How do we double down on our winning hook? — the answer ends with Suggested Next Steps: cards that take you to the right tool, pre-filled with what the analysis just found.

Omni's Suggested Next Steps: a card offering to generate new marketing angles seeded with the winning avatar, and a card linking to the insights feed

Each card is a suggestion, not something Omni does on its own — nothing is created until you click through and start it yourself:

  • Generate cards open Studio with the item type picked and the suggested items already selected. Say your best avatar is The Considered Buyer: Open in Studio lands on the Marketing Angle canvas with that avatar in place, ready to generate.
  • Seeded with names the exact items the suggestion builds on — the same clickable chips as citations, so you can inspect them first.
  • Other cards point where the moment calls for: review the insights feed, check tracking health, or take a proven creative to the Launcher.

Suggestions only appear when the question calls for direction. Plain look-ups (“What was revenue last week?”) stay card-free.

Follow up, copy and rate

Under most answers Omni offers follow-up chips — one tap continues the thread (“How did revenue trend over the last 30 days?”, “Is my tracking healthy?”). The row of controls beneath each answer lets you:

  • Copy — put the answer’s text on your clipboard.
  • Regenerate — ask Omni to answer the last question again.
  • Good answer / Bad answer — a thumbs up or down that helps tune Omni.

Conversations

Every chat is saved. Click History (the clock icon in the top-right) to slide out the Conversations panel — your Omni chat history, grouped Today, Yesterday, This Week and Older.

  • Search conversations… filters the list by title (or press Ctrl / ⌘ + F).
  • The menu on a row lets you Rename or Archive a conversation.
  • Click the pencil icon (New chat) any time to start a fresh conversation.

Which store Omni answers about

Omni always answers about the store currently selected in the store switcher (bottom-left). Switch stores and you’re talking to a different set of numbers — the same question returns that store’s answer.

If an answer looks like the wrong store’s numbers, check the store switcher before anything else — Omni is scoped to whichever store is selected.

Who can use Omni

Omni is available to Members and up. People with read-only (Viewer) access don’t see Omni in the sidebar. To let a teammate use it, give them at least the Member role — see Team & roles.

Troubleshooting

A panel says AI keys are missing. Omni runs on your own AI provider keys. When none are on file, an amber notice appears above the composer with an Add keys button — add a key on the Usage & AI keys page and ask again.

“A response is still streaming.” Omni handles one question at a time per conversation. Wait for the current answer to finish, or press Stop to end it, then send your next message. You can also start a New chat to ask in parallel.

Omni won’t answer something. Omni only reads your own store’s data — it doesn’t browse the web or answer general trivia. If a question isn’t about your attribution, store economics or creatives, rephrase it around your numbers.
