Getting StartedGenerate Your First Content

Generate your first content

In a few minutes you’ll turn a market research report into a set of AI-written customer avatars — vivid profiles of who you’re selling to. Avatars are the foundation the rest of Omnymous builds on, so they’re the right first thing to make.

Before you start

  • A connected store (Set up your workspace).
  • One Market Research Report in your library — an avatar is built from research. If you don’t have one yet, see the note in step 3.

Steps

  1. Open Studio. It greets you with What is the starting point of your new test? — a carousel of everything you can make. Scroll or use the arrow keys to bring Customer Avatar to the centre.

The Studio type picker centered on the Customer Avatar card

  2. Click Start. Studio opens a canvas of connected cards: the inputs it draws from sit on the left, and the Customer Avatar you’re about to generate sits on the right.

  3. On the left, find the Market Research Report card — it’s marked Required — click its dropdown and pick a report. Anything that report was built from (like the product Daily Greens Superblend) fills in automatically, and the connectors turn green to show the avatar now has what it needs.

No research report yet? Make one first — it’s the same flow, starting from Market Research in Studio, and it needs only a product. Your reports live in Library ▸ Knowledge.

  4. The Customer Avatar card is set to make 3 by default — use its and + stepper to make more or fewer. When you’re ready, click Generate.

  5. You land on the batch automatically and watch each avatar come to life — cards move through Generating and Saving until all three are ready. Generation runs on the AI keys you connected, so the words are written by your own AI provider. You can leave this page or close the tab; it keeps running in the background.

  6. When the batch reads Completed, you’ll see your finished avatars alongside the research and product they came from.

  7. Your avatars are now saved in Library ▸ Variables ▸ Avatars. Click any card to open its full profile: a Summary, a Profile with demographics, and its Fears & Anxieties and Desires & Goals — the raw material your ads will speak to.

What happens next

Everything in Omnymous stacks on your avatars:

Every one of these is another run of the same loop you just did — pick a starting point in Studio, attach what it needs, and generate. Past runs and their results always wait for you under Batches.

Troubleshooting

“Add your AI keys” — nothing generates. Omnymous writes with your own AI provider, so you need a key on file. Add one under Settings ▸ Usage & AI Keys, then generate again.

One avatar failed. The rest still succeed — open the batch and click Retry this item on the failed card to run just that one again.

Can I close the tab while it runs? Yes. Generation continues in the background, and your setup is saved automatically — reopen Batches any time to check on it.
